One morning Jack came running in, all excited, saying "Come outside!  You've got to see this!".  As I got to the end of the porch, Lo and Behold, I saw two Emus strolling up the driveway!

The male was friendly and cuddly as Emu males usually are, and the female was a bit reserved, as Emu females usually are.  Both were hungry, however, and we soon had them ensconced in the Pygmy Goat area munching on cob and booming gently to one another.

We never did find out who donated them, but they were a part of the family until the end of Critter Haven.  We named them Oscar and Olivia.

In 2009, for the first time, Olivia laid a clutch of eggs in Oscar's nest.  Oscar dutifully sat on his nest without complaint for months, and a Chick hatched on 02 June 2009 and on 04 June 2009.  He and his family have now been adopted!
