Pollawsky Bridge

Pollasky
 Bridge

One of the first major bridges to be built over the San Joaquin was the Pollawsky Bridge. This photo was taken Dec. 5, 1906, the same year of the great San Francisco earthquake. The Pollawsky bridge was replaced by the current bridge in 1953. Shortly after the current bridge was completed, the Pollawsky bridge collapsed.
