Copper & Willow
El Prado (Spanish for "the meadow") aptly describe the starting point on the San Joaquin
and Eastern Railroad. In this early 1923 view, the Southern Pacific's Friant Branch runs
to the left, in the foreground, and the SJ&E main line curves away
in the picture. Newspaper reporters waiting for SJ&E to arrive, local meadia was invited to ride and report on the newly finished railroad.
