Yrsa Seykolova

I am Yrsa Seykolova... my name being a very clear picture of who I am. "Yrsa" means "she-wolf" and "Seykolova" means, roughly, "daughter of the hawk." I have spent most of my life searching for my path. I knew all the things that my spirit called to me be... I just never knew there was a "relgion" to match these feelings.

In the round-about way things happen, I discovered Asatru. And now here I am - sitting in front of a computer trying to figure out how to describe all the instinctual things in my mind and soul in a way that is understandable.

I have strong connections to the Vanir --- Freyja in particular. There are many reasons, however, in my daily life, to call on other Gods and Goddesses of the Vanir and the Ęsir; this is, I believe, an important part of 'living Asatru'... the ability to relate to, interact with, and learn from all the Gods and Goddesses... rather than ignoring the wisdom of others for ones own personal designs... Unfortunately, I see this sort of thing from time to time... it's rather disturbing to me.

On a more mundane level, I am a wife and the mother of three beautiful daughters. I hope that I am "good" at both of these "jobs" - and I've heard no complaints thus far. My days are spent in the office of the local community college business education division, where I work as a secretary. My nights and weekends are for my family.
